Carpet-Bombing vs. Google Chrome
Just read an article in ZDNet.com about the vulnerability of Google Chrome to Carpet-Bombing that can expose users with attacks. This was caused by the WebKit (WebKit 525.13) flaw which is being used by Google Chrome.

NFS: Undercover Preview?
Also a website is shown on the video, "www.WhichRoadToTake.com", that shows a man that is being interogated which plays continuously. One funny part of it that the interogator somewhat became the person being interogated.
The best thing is the date shown at the last part of the video, which is the possible release date of the game. I'm so glad of that date since that date will be my 23rd birthday. I think EA will give me another gift for my birthday, like what they did in the released date of NFS:Most Wanted, which was released before my birthday. Thanks EA! :P

Submit to Mixx!
at last Bux.to Payment!
The long wait is over! Bux.to has paid me.
The story...
Just this afternoon I've opened my account in Bux.to, as usual I click all the ads available for this day. After the clicking, I clicked on the My Stats link to view my current status. Then when I saw my Account Balance, $10 was deducted from it. At first I thought an error has occurred an my account has been deducted, but when I saw the Total Amount Paid $10 was there. Which means that my cashout request has been granted. Then I checked my e-mail that I used to sign-up for AlertPay, there was an e-mail that says I have received money from Bux.to. Then I opened my AlertPay account and there it is, the $10!
Reaction
Honestly I was happy about it, not because I received $10, it is because I can now tell others that Bux.to is not a scam. It really pays. I was a bit sad about, because I have to wait for more than 6 months just to receive my first cashout money. I have requested for cashout last Jan. 11, 2008, and I received my payment last Saturday, July 5, 2008. I understand how the hard working people of Bux.to paying and servicing its more than 2 million members. That's a lot to maintain and manage. Good job Bux.to!

IE8 Beta 1 Experience
Today I have just installed IE8 just to try it. Which the new features focus on Developers for web page debugging.
Installation
The installation take up more than five minutes, since it downloaded some security updates for Windows that is needed by the browser. The it required you to restart because of the Windows update it downloaded.
First run
IE8's start-up is faster than the start-up time of IE7. I think it also (correct me if I'm wrong...) low in process resources. It looks the same IE7, nothing new in the design, except for the Favorites bar which is like the Bookmarks toolbar by Firefox. It has this new button that says "Emulate IE7", which is one of the features of IE8 that it can emulate IE7. On the address bar, it highlights the domain name of the site you are viewing. Closing the browser is slow.
Actions
I uninstalled it. No explanations.
Updates
IE8 beta 2 is due release in August.
In case you want to try IE8b1 download it here.
If you're installing, it is better to create a restore point first before you install.
Using Vista and uninstalling it IE8? Go here.

Online Media Converter
Just today, I am looking for a converter of .m4a file to .mp3. When I ask Mr. Google, it showed me a software to download, since I think I don't wanna install it because I will only use it once, I decided to modify my search and add an online to it. Then this site came to me, media-convert.com. A free online file converter.
It can convert documents, archives, movies, images, sound, and tones. The source files can be from your local computer or from a website. After successfully converting your file, you have the choice to download it or host it to them for 24 hours or 120 days. You can also download it thru WAP. It's a great site, Try it! I'll place it in my bookmarks if I were you.
Happy file converting! :P

Low memory load audio player
I conducted a small comparison test between Windows Media Player(WMP) and XMPlay. The comparison is done in Windows Vista Business edition and plays the same mp3 file, David Cook - Always be my Baby(Studio version).mp3 with the same setup of equalizer. It shows that XMPlay is way low memory load when playing, WMP consumes 18K+ of memory load while XMPlay only consumes 1.8K+. XMPlay even had Amplification adjuster set to +9.0db, which consumes added memory load.
What is XMPlay?
A low resource and compact audio player that plays MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA, CDA, etc. No installation required for this application, just extract it to a folder and you're done! The folder doesn't have to be in your Program Files folder, your Desktop is good.

As the name says, it is a tool for Web Developers. Contains various tools that can help you in developing a website. [Download]
Note: This tool is good but honestly I don't use it. Why? Because it slows me down.
FireFTP
FTP Client embed in Firefox. [Download]
Note: For beginners, this tool can help you understand how to use a FTP client. For me, I don't use it, because it only uses one(1) connection at a time. Not recommended for multiple file uploading.

Download Day misunderstood
There was a misunderstanding regarding the Download Day of Firefox 3. According to the Mozilla Blog, the specific time of the Download Day is June 17th, 10am PDT.
Bad planning!
They only stated June 17, 2008, no timezone stated. How about the people in other timezones? They expect that it would be June 17th in their own timezone, but it is not.
A lesson must be learned...
If you make a website and you will make a release date, place the specific time and timezone.

David Cook - Time of My Life Lyrics
To turn into something
I could believe in
And looking for that
Magic rainbow
On the horizon
I couldn’t see it
Until I let go
Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn
Now I’m coming alive
Body and soul
And feelin’ my world start to turn
And I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time
To be more than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life
Holding onto things that vanished
Into the air
Left me in pieces
But now I’m rising from the ashes
Finding my wings
And all that I needed
Was there all along
Within my reach
As close as the beat of my heart
So I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life
And I’m out on the edge of forever
Ready to run
I’m keeping my feet on the ground
My arms open wide
My face to the sun
I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
This is the time
This is the time of my life.
This is the time of my life.

David Cook won American Idol Season 7
After 95 million votes, 56% of it goes to David Cook, who won the season 7 of the American Idol. It was an obvious win since a 12 million vote difference between the two Davids. He sang his first single "Time of my Life" live, after the announcement.
I even woke-up early to watch the live telecast of American Idol in Q channel 11. I always leave at 10am every weekdays, now I left past 10am. I really waited till the anouncement of the winner.

Eye in the Sky Lyrics
Eye in the Sky
The Alan Parsons Project
Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of Chances before
But I ain't gonna give any more
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
Cause part of me knows what You're thinkin'
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your Eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing
(Chorus)
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't Need to see any more
To know that I can read your mind, I can read your mind
Don't leave false Illusions behind
Don't Cry cause I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the Signs are deceiving

Civil Wedding Day!
Today is the Civil Wedding of my older sister. She married her significant other(SO) for some years. It's okay for my sister to be married, because her age of 25 is a good marrying age for a lady.
Wedding
The wedding was held at the City Hall of Paranaque City, where they currently live with her SO. Can't understand why they married there since the guy really lived in Antipolo City and we live in Dasmarinas. But its there, it finished. Next, it is held on a Monday, 10am which is very uncommon to me. We'll because its my first time to see my sister got married.
Getting there..
It got up at 5:30am my time, which is 15mins advanced to the original time. We left the house at 6:45am. Of course, the common to this day was it is Monday and it is morning, which means it is rush hour. We are trapped at Bacoor, where a common traffic jam occurs at rush hours. We arrived at the boarding house of my sister at 9am, which we saw her preparing.
Work first
The civil wedding was finished at 11:15am. They are going to the reception, at the guy's house in Antipolo City. They said, they will ride a taxi going there, and their route will be C5. Me and mama can't go with them, since Mama will go to Pasay City Hall. So we left earlier, while they wait for their ride.
It sinks in!
It's okay for my sister to get married. I can't control her for the person who she will marry. Maybe she really love the guy, not the guy I really want for her. Maybe that's love. I will miss my sister, even though when we see each other, I tease her. I will no longer have a sister that will come to the house like she was before. Now I can't deny that I really love her.

Man to sell life in internet auction
Ian Usher, from Perth in Western Australia, is offering his house, job, lifestyle and friends to the highest bidder in an online auction.
Mr Usher is single, 44, owns a house complete with spa, and goes skydiving and jet skiing.
But he was not looking for a potential partner when he put this information on the net. He was looking for someone to take over his life.
The Perth resident wants a new start after his marriage break-up and says all he wants to keep of his life in Perth is his wallet and passport.
He came to Australia from England in 2001, a year after getting married.
The couple bought a house, made friends, found work and enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle. But when the relationship ended, Mr Usher decided it was time to give it all up.
He is offering his furnished home, car, motorbike, jet ski and introductions to his friends to the highest bidder in an online auction.
"The home was something that we were building together and all the furniture in there was stuff that we bought together in the last home we had, so there is a lot of memories attached to it and sort of, that's in front of me on a daily basis," he said.
"So I thought, 'well, if I'm selling the house, how do I sell the stuff? Do I sell one piece at a time in the paper? Do I send it to an auction house or what do I do?'
"And then I was just hit with this idea, why not put it all together in one auction?"

Mac vs. PC
Mac vs. PCMac: In both the laptop and desktop showdowns, Apple’s computers were the winners. Oddly, the big difference didn’t come in our user ratings, where we expected the famously friendly Mac interface to shine. Our respondents liked the look and feel of both operating systems but had a slight preference toward OS X. In our speed trials, however, Leopard OS trounced Vista in all-important tasks such as boot-up, shutdown and program-launch times. We even tested Vista on the Macs using Apple’s platform-switching Boot Camp software—and found that both Apple computers ran Vista faster than our PCs did.
PC: Simply put, Vista proved to be a more sluggish operating system than Leopard. Our PCs installed some software faster, but in general they were slower in our time trials. Plus, both PCs showed weaker performance on third-party benchmarks than the Macs. Our biggest surprise, however, was that PCs were not the relative bargains we expected them to be. The Asus M51sr costs the same as a MacBook, while the Gateway One actually costs $300 more than an iMac. That means for the price of the Gateway you could buy an iMac, boost its hard drive to match the Gateway’s, purchase a copy of Vista to boot—and still save $100.Detailed Benchmark Scores: Desktops

Life
I'll try to be not so dramatic bout this... ;)
Since I was in college, I had a passion for Computer Programming. I don't know how I came into programming. All I dreamed before when I was young is to be a Pilot or an Mechanical Engineer like my father.
The first Programming Language(PL) is encountered was BASIC(Beginners All-purpose Instruction Symbolic Code) which is really basic! It just funny that I don't really had a hard time learning it. I started to love web-based programming, since my 2nd year in college, when we had a subject about JavaScript. It was fun in that subject, some of my classmate had a hard time in that subject, but I don't.
PHP
I learned PHP all by myself. I never attended any seminars or any subjects about PHP. It just came to me that it was a great PL for web-based scripting. I love PHP! I love it than Visual Basic 6, which I also excelled in college. As of now, I am using PHP for more than a year and a half.
Web Developer life
You will experience pressures, like the client want the task to be finished in 1 day which a person can do it fast in 2 days. I learned a lot in my job. It is true that learning is beyond school and books.
